If you are new to our community or simply searching for a new church home, this information is just for you.
We are located at the corner of 10th and Charles Streets in downtown St. Joseph. 10th Street is a north bound one-way street, so approach from the south.
Looking for the church office? Park in the south parking lot (see below). Our office is just inside the south building entrance.
Worship: We worship each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. First Lutheran practices open communion which means that all are welcome at the Lord’s Table.
Parking for worship and other activities: Parking is available in three lots:
- Immediately south of the church (driveway on 10th Street, just north of Sylvanie Street). Use this parking lot for week-day access to the church office and to the elevator used to access the upper level where the sanctuary is located.
- Immediately to the west of the church at the corner of 9th and Charles Streets (driveway on Charles Street).
- Across the street to the north of the church (access from Charles Street). This lot does not belong to First Lutheran but is available for use on Sunday mornings and other occasions when there is a large gathering.
In addition, parking is available on both sides of 10th Street.
Handicap Access:
- Parking spaces are reserved in the church’s south parking lot.
- The south building entrance is equipped with door opening buttons.
- An elevator, located near the south entrance provides access to the upper level where the sanctuary is located.
- Restrooms on both levels are ADA compliant.
