Worship Music, Pastor Sami and Worship Planning Team
Our worship regularly includes a variety of musical styles. Accompaniment ranges from organ to piano, to keyboard, drums, bass and guitar. On occasion brass instruments, violin, flute, harmonica, guitar and other instruments lend their voices. Pastor Sami and the worship planning team coordinate music with the themes of each service’s scripture readings and the seasons of the church year. If you have requests, would like to help in worship planning, or provide a musical offering please contact Pastor Sami.
Altar Guild, Ann Newman
This group maintains altar paraments, candles and furnishings, prepares for communion, and provides flowers and visual seasonal displays.
Worship Team, Brooke McBride
The Worship Team is a servant-hearted group of men, women, and young adults whose ministry is integral to church life. If you would like to join the Worship Team in any of the groups listed below, please contact Brooke at the church office.
Greeters welcome all to worship, helping visitors and answering questions, assist as needed during worship and ensure the safety of the building during services. Lectors read the scripture readings and lead the congregation in prayer for the people of God and for all people according to their needs. Communion Assistants serve the sacrament of Holy Communion, welcoming all to God’s table. Acolytes assist the pastor at the altar. Media team members operate the sound board worship slide projector and cameras used in live-streaming our worship.
Media & Technology, Brooke McBride
Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of First Lutheran Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes.
Brooke oversees the use of technology in worship, including both video and audio systems. If you would like to learn how to operate this equipment and share in this ministry, contact Brooke through the church office.
